SMPL is a residential design studio based in Hamilton, Ontario. We work across architecture, interiors, and planning — obsessing over every decision until the right answer becomes obvious.

SMPL was founded in 2010 with a straightforward conviction: that residential design deserved more than it was getting. More care. More rigour. A process that asked harder questions and held every answer to a higher standard.
We are a design studio — not a design-build firm. Our work is the design itself: the architecture, the drawings, the permit coordination, and the construction-ready documents that allow great builders to execute without guesswork. When our drawings leave the studio, they're complete. What gets built from them should be too.
Today, a team of 20+ specialists works across residential architecture, interior design, and development planning. We've completed over 1,500 projects and hold working relationships with more than 40 builders across Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
What hasn't changed since day one is the standard. Every project — regardless of size or budget — receives the same obsessive attention to detail that defines everything we make.
